Hi Cliff, and welcome to WikiTree! You mention ancestors in Scotland and Ireland. I wanted to let you know we have two great projects that focus on Scottish Clans and Irish Roots here called Scottish Clans Project and Irish Roots Project They might be places for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree. Lots of hints, links etc for researching on pages of both projects.

You may find some of your ancestors are already on WikiTree and the people in both Projects will be happy to help you in any way they can. Thank you so much for joining WikiTree.

As I enjoy tracing my Carlisle roots, I have learned a lot, but there is so much more to learn. I have traced my ancestors from the US to Ireland and to Scotland. I would be interested in hearing about any Carlisles in Mongaup Valley, NY, Monticello, NY or in the Cairnmoney / Belfast area of Ireland.
