Henry Carman was living with his Whitbeck grandparents in 1860 and 1870. He married Ida Hennings 6 August 1876 in Pocohontas County, Iowa. He lived very near his grandparents in 1880, as they lived with his sister, Lottie Snell, also in Pocahontas County. I know he went onto raise a family, as a DNA match of a distant cousin proves it!
