Biography

Son of Nicholas Carmer Jr. and Sarah Wilson.[1] Baptised in Dutch Church, New York, on 27 Nov 1774.[1] The baptism was witnessed by his aunt Jemima (Carmer) Save and his (presumed) uncle James Wilson.[1]


He married Rachel Varian in New York on 14 Jul 1796.[2]

He had a daughter who married Peter Naylor.[1]

Likely a private in 46th reg. inf. 24 Mar 1815, heirs: Nicholas H, Margaret V, Susan V. Carmer.[3] Received a pension 17 Feb 1815 to 17 Feb 1820.

Mentioned in his wife's 1857 death notice in The New York Evening Post.[4]
