Biography

John (Carmichael) Carmichael of that Ilk was born in Scotland.

John was the only son of William Carmichael.^[1]

He married Elizabeth Somerville, daughter of Hugh, Lord Somerville in 1541. They had issue, including:

2. Archibald, of Edrom^[2]
3. Mary, m. John, son of Robert Hamilton of Preston^[3]

John died about 1585.
