Biography

Marie Adolphe Carnot was born in Paris on 27 January 1839. He married, first Julie Amélie Marguerite Barraud-Richemont, and secondly Marie Antoinette Mathilde Offroy-Durieu. He died on 20 June 1920 at home, 95 Boulevard Raspail in Paris (6th arrondissement)[1].

Honors: Membre de l'Institut; Inspecteur Général des Mines; Directeur de l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines, Président de la Société du Gaz de Paris; Commandeur de la Légion d'Honneur[1].
