Biography

NOTE: Charles was II of Germany, but III of France (with Charles the Bald as II of France but not ruling Germany).

Charles 'the Fat' was a son of King Louis the German and Hemma (Emma) of Altdorf. Louis 'the German' was a grandson of Charlemagne.

King of Alemannia; King of Italy; Holy Roman Emperor; King of East Francia; King of West Francia

Married Richardis of Swabia, with whom he had no children. [1]
