Carol Jean Pruet E-mail | Print Published: October 2, 2012 Carol Jean Pruet, 70, a resident of Fayetteville, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at her home. She was born July 26, 1942, in Elkhart, Kan., the daughter of Raymond Carrol and Kate Marie Crawley Phillips. She was a well known waitress in Southern California for 35 years until moving to Fayetteville in 1992 when her husband retired from the U.S. Navy. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family and decorating for Christmas. Her family considered her the "Queen of Everything." Although known by few, she was loved by all she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Sharon Kay Reed of Lincoln. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Floyd Pruet; two daughters, Julie Pruet of Fayetteville and Sandra Pruet of San Diego, Calif.; one son, Thomas Pruet of Oceanside, Calif.; one sister, Betty Smith of Renton, Wash.; three grandchildren, Michael, Cherise and Ricky.
