Biography

Frederick Caron was born on 5 Sep 1806 in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli parish in L'Islet. He was the son of Pierre Caron and Madeleine Fortin. Sponsors at Frederick's baptism were Joseph Fortin and Scholastique Desrosier (?). At age 21 Frederick married first wife Madeleine Jean on 29 Jan 1828 in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. There were four known children born into this marriage. Madeleine died on 7 Sep 1839 in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. At age 35 Frederick married second wife Marie Aubut on 25 Jan 1842 in Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours parish in L'Islet, Québec. There were two known children born into this marriage.

When François-Fréderic Caron was born on September 5, 1806, in Port Joli, L'islet, Quebec, his father, Pierre Caron, was 52 and his mother, Marie-Madeleine Fortin, was 45. He was married three times and had five sons and six daughters. He died in 1874 in his hometown at the age of 68.
