Louis Caron est né le 20 décembre 1699, il a été baptisé le 9 janvier 1700 à la paroisse Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours (L'Islet). Il est le fils de Joseph Caron et Élisabeth Bernier, le parrain a été Pierre Fortin et la marraine Genevieve Fortin.
Il épouse Marie Lemieux le 17 février 1727 à Cap-St-Ignace.
