Biographie

Napoleon est né le 17 decembre 1863 à St-Edouard de Napierville, Québec, et fut baptisé le 19 decembre. Il fut le dernier des garcons de Moise Caron et Celina Tetreault. [1]

Il épousa Emilie Béchard, fille de Calixte Béchard et Marie Houle, le 25 Fev 1884, à Pain Court, Kent, Ontario. [2] [3] [4]

Ils habitaient une ferme de 100 arpents couvert de forêt. Dans l'espace de trois ans, déjà 50 arpents étaient défrichés. Une belle maison fut construite ainsi qu'une grange. Il fut un cultivateur reconnu, fort respecté et aimé de ses concitoyens. En 1892, en partenariat avec Jean-Baptiste Blais, il opéra même un moulin à battre le grain (une meunerie à vapeur). A force de travailler, il est parvenu à établir chacun de ses fils sur un beau lopin de terre.

Napoleon est décédé à l'Hopital St-Joseph, à Chatham le 11 Feb 1922 des suites d'une pneumonie, [5] et fut enterré au cimetière paroissial à Pain Court. [6] [7] [8]
