Biography

Edna Carothers was born in Rush County, Indiana to J.S.B. and Emeline (Stone) Carothers on November 23, 1850. The family removed to Wabash County when Edna was a child and she was reared in Noble township. She married George Carver in Noble on February 4, 1869 and together they had four children:[1]

  1. Eva Carver, wife of Henry Dufton
  2. Quincy A. Carver, married Ida Spillman (daughter Lavonne)
  3. Carl Carver
  4. Floyd E. Carver

Another source[2] provides: Edna was born November 23, 1850, at Fayette County, Indiana. She was the daughter of John S B Carothers (1821 - 1894) and Emmaline Stone (1830 - 1896). Edna Ann married George Carver (1848 - 1938) on February 4, 1869, in Wabash County, Indiana. She passed away February 3, 1908, in Wabash County, Indiana, and was buried at Falls Memorial Gardens, Wabash, Wabash County, Indiana, in Section F, Lot 80, Space 5.
