Charles was the son of James and Rebecca Hull Carothers. They were living in Cambridge, Ohio, in 1870[1] and 1880.[2]
Charles married Lille Sigman 1 April 1891 in Guernsey County.[3]
Charles was a widower when he married Martha Cowden on 18 October 1899 in Muskingum County.[4] They were living together with his two children and mother in Lancaster in 1900.[5]
Charles died 24 September 1905 in Columbus.[6] Burial was at Dresden Cemetery.[7]
