Jedediah was born in the fall of 1732 in Rehoboth, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1] He was the first child born to Charles and his wife, Hannah Bosworth.
A biographical sketch of Jedediah Carpenter has been written into the book "The Marshall Family Record"[2] and is a very good read. It tells of a prominent farmer and his large family Living first in Rehoboth, then moving to Keene, New Hampshire, and then to Surry, New Hampshire. His vast farm and acreage became known as the "Carpenter Farm" in Surry.
He passed away in 1815.
