Chloe was born in 1761 in Rhode Island, the daughter of Asa Carpenter and Abigail Follett.
She married David Brown in 1779. They had a daughter, Mary Brown Dana (1779-1863), wife of Nathaniel Dana Jr.
She passed away in 1848 at the age of 87. She was buried at the Carpenter Cemetery in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
