Biography
When Thomas J. Carpenter was born in 1832 in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, his father, Thomas Carpenter, was 36 and his mother, Anna Unknown, was 33. He married Diana Shaffer and they had Mary E., and Albert Jackson Carpenter together. He then married Julia Reubens and they had James F., and Joseph F. Carpenter together. Thomas died about 1909, in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, having lived a long life of 77 years.
