Biography
Sylvanus Carpenter was born born February 27, 1768, son of Sarah (Greenman) Carpenter & Joseph Carpenter.
He married Mercy Goodrich, daughter of Margaret (Gillett) & Elijah Goodrich.
He died April 7, 1847 at the age of 79 and was buried in Carpenter Cemetery, Stephentown, Rensselaer County, New York[1].
