David "Mack" McDonald Carpenter was born December 8, 1839 to John Wesley Jack Carpenter and Margaret Elizabeth or Peggy Keith in Holmes, Florida.
He served the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. He was in Company D, 56th Alabama Cavalry.[1]
He died, at the age of 70, on January 21, 1910 in Millry, Alabama. [2]
