Mary was a daughter of Walter Carpenter and Maria Huyck. She was born on 2 February 1789 and baptized on 8 March 1789 in the Reformed Dutch Church of Schodack, New York. Witnesses were Roelof Jansen and Polly Jansen.[1]
She apparently died before August 5, 1815, when Walter Carpenter created his will and provided legacies to several daughters and to Caroline Hitchcock, "daughter of my daughter Mary."[2][3]
