Lydia Carpenter was born on September 19, 1781 in Scituate, Providence, Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, daughter of John Carpenter (1750–1828) and Sarah Jenks (1753–1838).
Lydia died on June 8, 1856 in Edmeston, Otsego, New York, United States, aged about 74. She was buried in Jennings Cemetery, Otsego County, New York.[1]
