Marguerite Carpentier was born on 1 Apr 1767 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue parish in Rivière-du-Loup en haut (now Louiseville), Province de Québec. She was the daughter of Augustin Carpentier and Catherine Gelinas. At age 22 Marguerite married Jean Baptiste Guimond on 5 Oct 1789 in Rivière-du-Loup en haut, Province de Québec. There were six known children born into this marriage before 1800. At age 43 Marguerite married second husband Louis Joseph Biron on 20 Nov 1810 in Saint-Louis parish in Lotbinière, Bas-Canada. Marguerite died on 23 June 1823 in Lotbinière; she was buried the next day in Saint-Louis parish cemetery in Lotbinière, aged 55 per the record.[1]
