Harold Melvin Carpentier was born in 1911 to George Franklin Carpenter (1876-1958) and Martha Mae Peplow Knaggs (1883-1960).
Harold married first Thelma Lee (1915-1999) and their children were:
Jacqueline L. Carpenter b. 1935 d. 27 Feb 1937 at age 2 after choking on a peanut (family recollection)
Shirley Carpentier (1936-1997) She and her mother Thelma dropped the "i" in Carpentier when they discovered that Harold had a second wife.
Harold was also married to a second wife at the same time - Mildred Leona Miller (1921-1992) and their children were:
Kenneth Melvin Carpentier (1943 - 2013)
George E. Carpentier (1944 - 2006)
Tilden Lynn Carpentier (1946 - 2009)
Charles W Carpentier (1948 - 2013)

Richard P. Carpentier (1959 - 2009)
Harold served in the USNR in WWII from 2 Apr 1944 to 24 Nov 1945.
He died in 1969 in Peoria, Illinois and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
