Robert Carr of Sleaford, etc. (b. c. 1511 - d. 11 Sep 1590; bur. 16 Sep 1590 Sleaford), was the second son of:[1]

  • George Carr of Sleaford, Merchant of the Staple,[1][2]
  • and Anne Flower.[1][2]

He was the heir of his older brother, John (dsp; inq. pm. 12 Jun [21 Hen VIII] 1529).

Marriage

Carr married three times to:

  1. Elizabeth Cawdron,[1][2] (will 28 Sep 1556, proved 02 Dec 1556), dau. of William Cawdron or Cawthorne, King’s bailiff at Heckington.[3]
  2. m.2 (aft. 1566) Anne Tailboys, dau. of Sir George Tailboys of Kyme; wid. of Sir Edward Dymoke of Scrivelsby,[1] (d. 16 Sep 1566).
  3. Anne Knyvet, dau. of Charles Knyvet of Princethorpe, Warwickshire; m.1 Nicholas Robinson of Boston; m.2 Leonard Irby.[1]
