Biography

Patience was born in 1700. She passed away in 1788. She married first Joseph Peckham, son of Joseph and Mary Evans Peckham . Patience then married Edward Estes, her second husband, on 27 Aug 1730 in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Patience and Edward first lived in Hanover, Massachusetts but were residents of North Yarmouth, Maine in an area now known as Harpswell by 1750. According to the book " Lineage Book of Hereditary Order of Descendants of Colonial Governors", she is the grand daughter of Caleb Carr, Governor of Rhode Island 1695.
