In 1880, William and Mary Rowens are living on Douglas Street in Evansville, Indiana. William (39) is working at the PO, while Mary (33) keeps house. Also living at the residence are adopted daughter, Mary (16), daughter Jane (12) and sons Alexander (10) and Chesley (9) [Chester??].[1]
Mary C Rowens, born about 1848, died on July 30, 1905 at Chicago.[2] She was buried the next day at Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana[3].
