I'm your classic "Heinz 57". I descend from Quakers, Royalty, several Indian Tribes and various Scots/Irish Clans.
My DNA says I am Scottish, Irish, French, German, English, Spanish, Native American, Scandanavian, Iberian and who knows what else. I have been able to confirm most of this thru paper trails.
Genealogy has been a passion of mine since 1979.
I have over 33,000 people in my personal tree and have actually been able to trace my lineage all the way back to the Bible. I am from the Biblical tribes of Judah and Levi.
My full tree is on Ancestry.

I was doing some research recently on my family connections to the great Abolitionist and Underground Railroad activist Levi Coffin (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Coffin-2002), and I notice that you and I have a very interesting genetic match (I am GEDmatch no. AN2812146) and we link to Levi Coffin through shared Lanckford and Clayton ancestry (see my Clayton-Reynolds-Lamb-Marmon line at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Reynolds-3915). You are connected even more closely with Levi Coffin through your related Beals and Bowater ancestry (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Beals-91). Anyway, I just thought I'd point that out, in case you were not aware of this interesting fact.
Also, we may share some additional ancestry through your Evans, Antrim, Quicksall and Robbins of New Jersey ancestry (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Antrim-96#Ancestors). This could also go back to the Langford-Lanckford surname, or it could be from some Massachusetts ancestors of mine whose descendants moved to New Jersey early on. Have you ever seen matches to surnames like Hinckley, Bloomfield, FitzRandolph and Cantrell?
Cheers!
Patrick
I have some Hinckley, Bloomfield, Fitzrandolph & Cantrell in there as well. Also Langford & Lanckford.
We share a significant amount of DNA: 17.5 cM on chromosome #5, 10.7 on #10 - equalling 28.2 cM (not counting a 5.7 segment on #22 that could be valid (or not).
When I checked the relationship finder, it was an eye-opener. We are related through my dad's maternal side through different ancestors on our 1) Lindley/Hadley line 2) Hadley/Miller line 3) Pyle/Bushnell line 4) Baldwin Daves (or Davies) line And also related through my dad's paternal side through our 5) Dye/Mackmellion line 6) Eidson/Kelley line
All of those maternal lines have Hadley in common, but with different common ancestors for us. Same thing for the paternal side. Eidson is a branch of Dye. If our trees are correct, looks you are related to my mom and dad! It's a small world, as they say. Lol!
I would like to talk more with you about this, and extend an invitation to a multi-family Facebook group of mine, Howard And Allied Families.
It has over 500 members, growing steadily, and has some serious advanced genealogists. Two admins from FTDNA's Howard Project have joined, a couple admins from the Anne Arundel, Maryland Genealogical Society have joined, at least one member has college training (taught genealogy at a college), About 8 of my Ydna matches have joined, and others with a lot of experience.
We share old pictures, stories, sources, and help each other. You would have at least 40 cousins in the group (estimating, off the top of my head), and many of the members have Gedmatch kits.
I don't think I am allowed to put a URL link in these messages, so I will use your personal message link and share my contact info and Facebook urls.
Thanks for the time, and keep up the good work! Donny Howard
I would be interested in how our Eidson & Dye branches connect. I have Eidson on my dad's family & Dye on my mom's family
Patrice
thanks!

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
