Biography

Benjamin Carr was a son of Thomas and Miriam (Jones) Carr. He was a member of the Society of Friends and married the 11th of 2d mo 1784 at New Garden Friends Meeting, Guilford Co., NC, Patience Beals (1747-1842). After their marriage they became members of the Westfield Friends Meeting in Surry Co., NC, but about 1804 they migrated to Ohio, where they were first members of Miami Friends Meeting and later of Fairfield Friends Meeting. Benjamin's death occurred the 20th of 4th mo 1813 and was reported at Fairfield Friend Meeting. Benjamin and Patience had six children: Jacob, Elizabeth, Thomas, Hezekiah Ankrum, Benjamin, and Iredel.

Benjamin married Patience Beals in 1784 in NC.[1]In the 1790 census Benjamin was in Surry, North Carolina.[2] Buried at Fairfield Quaker Cemetery, Leesburg, Highland, Ohio Benjamin died on 20 April 1813 in Highland, Ohio.[3] 1804, 9, 22 gct Miami MM, OH by Westfield MM, NC 1804, 12, 13 rocf Westfield MM, NC with w Patience & ch Elizabeth, Thomas, Benjamin & Hezekiah @ Miami MM, OH
