Biography

Mary was born about 1843. She is the daughter of Joseph Carr.

An obituary from an unidentified paper:

Miss Mary Priscilla Carr, age 92 years, died at her home in Leesburg, Tuesday, Jun 25. Death was due to infirmities of age. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Hall Carr and a native of this county. Miss Carr was a member of the Leesburg Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one niece, Mrs. Bruce Ogden, Washington, D.C., and five nephews, Messrs. John Carr Norris, Stevensville, Md.; J. Harry Norris, Washington, D.C.; Beuford Carr, Waterford, Va.; Archibald Carr, Washington, D.C. and Herbert Carr, Washington, D.C.

Funeral rites were held from the Presbyterian Church in Leesburg this afternoon at 1:00 o'clock, Rev. J.S. Montgomery officiating. Interment was made in Union Cemetery.
