Mrs. Emma Carrier Avery, 81, widow of George F. Avery died here Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George A. West, with whom she had lived for several years. She leaves four other daughters, Mrs. A.G. Dennier, Mrs. M.A. Ryan, both of Hartford. Mrs. K.E. Closson of Providence, R.I. and Mrs. J.C. Barton of East Hampton: eight sons, Charles H. Avery of Rockville, Frank T. Avery of East Glastonbury ,George B. Avery of Springfield, Mass, Cleveland C. Avery of Bridgeport, Harley H. Avery of Meriden, Welcome R. Avery of Westfield, Masss, Vaughan C. Avery of Providence and Harrison B. Avery of East Hampton and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery.
