Lima was the daughter of James Carrier, b. Connecticut, and Mercy Malinda Carrier, b. Pennsylvania.[1]
In 1870, "Lina" A. Carrier, 2, was living with her parents, J.W. and Malinda M. Carrier, a brother and another Carrier, in Warsaw Township, Jefferson, Pennsylvania

NOTE: This is probably the same James W., with a different wife. The 1910 US Census shows that James was married 4 times, and Lucy was his 4th wife.[3]
In 1880, Jame W. Carrier, a 47 year old farmer b. Connecticut, lived in Warsaw Township, Jefferson, Pennsylvania, with his wife Lucy A., 27 b. CT, and 4 children, including Annie, 12:[4]
On 14 July 1897, F. W. Jefferson, 26 years old, married Lima A. (indexed as "Linea") Carrier, 29 years old, in Elk County, Pennsylvania. The ceremony was performed by Amos Z. Myers.[5] Based on US Census records, they had at least the following children:

James, b. ca. 1909
In 1900, Lima and Frank W. Jefferson were living in Warsaw Township, Jefferson, Pennsylvania, with their son Gifford, 2.[6]
In 1910, Lima lived with her husband, Frank W. Jefferson, a 39 year old farmer, and five children in Spring Creek Township, Elk, Pennsylvania.[7]
In 1920, Frank W. Jefferson, a laborer in a leatherworks, lived in Arroyo, Spring Creek Township, Elk, Pennsylvania, with his wife Lima, 5 children and 1 grandson.[8]
Husband Frank William Jefferson died on 6 Feb 1923, and letters regarding his estate were entered into probate on 31 March 1923 in Elk County, Pennsylvania. Lima Jefferson was to be the administrator or executor.[9]
Lima outlived her husband by 16 years and died in 28 Dec 1939 in West Manchester, York, Pennsylvania.[1] She is buried at the Lake City Cemetery, Lake City, Elk, Pennsylvania, USA. She shares a grave marker with her husband Frank.[10]
