Biography
Bernice was born on September 19, 1918, in Southbridge, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of James Carrigan and Florence Greely. [1]
In the 1940 Census, Bernice is listed as working as a Clerk in the WPA Clerk's office. In several Massachusetts City Directories for the town of Southbridge as well as in her obituary, she is listed as the Assistance for the Town Clerk of Southbridge.[2]
Bernice married Gerard Ovila LaCasse.[3] The record of their marriage has not been found; Neither has any records of the couple having children.
Bernice passed away on November 27, 1968 of bronchopneumonia. Her obituary lists the place of death as Worcester; however, other sources indicate she died in Grafton, Massachusetts. She was 50 years old. [4]
