James was born October 3rd, 1883 at 31 Robinson Street in West Hartlepool, England to Michael Carroll & Ellen Akins.[1] In between 1885 and 1887 he immigrated with his family to the United States through Montreal, Canada. James worked in the shipyards as a riveter.[2][3][4] He died January 25th, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois.[5] James was interred January 28th at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.[6]
