Biography

Minnie was born in March 1875 in Miller County, Missouri.^[1] She was the daughter of John Carroll and Sarah Hull. She passed away in August 1959 in Craig County, Oklahoma and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Vinita, Craig County. (Note: FAG date in error. Photograph of grave marker shows birth date of 2 March 1870. 1880 Census states she was age 5 as of date of census, 1 June 1880, indicating a birth date of March 1875. 1900 Census gives birth date March 1875.)^[2]

Minnie married Walter Enoch Kimmel, son of George E Kimmel and Margaret Jane Simmons, in 1899 in Miller County, Missouri.^[3] They had children:

In 1900 Walter and Minnie are living and farming in Miller County, Missouri. Newly married, they have one son, Miles F Kimmel, born in December 1899.^[4]

About 1903/4 they moved briefly to Arkansas where daughter Lottie Kimmel was born in 1905. By 1910 Walter and Minnie were back in Missouri on a farm in Pulaski County, Missouri. They have 5 children: Miles, Lenial, Lottie, Lincoln, and Noble Kimmel.^[5]

About 1916/17 Walter and Minnie moved to Oklahoma. On the 1920 census they are living on a farm in Sapulpa, Creek County, Oklahoma. In their household are children:

• Lincoln Kimmel, 13, MO
• Noble Kimmel, 11, MO
• Victory Kimmel, 1 yr, 3 mos; b abt Oct/Nov 1918, OK

Walter and Minnie are living on a farm in Kellyville, Creek County, Oklahoma in 1930. Minnie is listed in error as "Carrie Kimmel." In the household are children May Kimmel, age 12, and Jessie Kimmel, age 9.^[6]

In 1940, Minnie Kimmel is living with her daughter Jessie Kimmel in Depew, Creek County, Oklahoma. Minnie is still listed as married although Walter is not in the household and his Find A Grave memorial states he died in 1935. Minnie is age 65, a Seamstress.^[7]
