Biography

(Twin) Marvilla is a Twin to Arrilla.

I have discovered that Marvilla Carson Gettys was a patient at a sanatorium from before 1900 to at least 1930 in Norman, Oklahoma. These dates are determined by the Oklahoma Federal Censuses. Based on her children's birth dates she couldn't have been committed before 1893. I don't know if she died in the sanatorium or if she was living with a relative when she passed.

After Marvilla was committed, her family was split up for a period of time. On the 1900 Federal Census, while she was living in the sanatorium in Norman, Okla, her Husband was living with his brother in South Dakota and the children was living with their Gettys grandmother in Idaho. Father and children would be back together again on the 1910 Federal Census.
