She migrated to Adelaide aboard the 'Schah Jehan' in 1860 with her mother Margaret and siblings. The shipping list has her as born in 1843. She married James McGeachie in Adelaide on 22 April 1867. Margaret and James had twelve children between the years 1868 and 1892.
