Obituary
Arthur Ray Carten of Hartland passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born October 19, 1932 and was the son of the late William and Pearl Carten. He was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley, grandson; Jonathon Weeks; great grand daughter, Savana Clark; sister, Peggy Thibodeau; brothers, Eugene Carten and William Carten. Arthur is survived by his wife, Evelyn Carten of Hartland; children, David Carten of East Brighton, Marie (Jeff Page) Carten of Coldstream, Eldon (Sheila DeMerchant) Carten of East Brighton, Carolyn (Murray) DeMerchant of East Brighton, John Carten of East Brighton, Laurie (Mike) Donovan of Miramichi, Lynn (David) Cronje of Miramichi, Brent (Daphne) Carten of Campobello Island; 20 grandchildren: 24 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Brewer, Erma Nemec, Linda (Brian McCullough) Crabbe; brothers, Fraser (Sheila) Carten, Ralph Carten, Bob Carten; sisters-in-law, Thelma Harris, Maxine (Ronald) Ingraham, Ola Foster, Scott Trecartin; nieces and nephews.[1]
