How can her death date be 10 Sep 1842, if "She and her son, Loftin E. went to Illinois in the mid-1860, but then returned to Lafayette County in 1866"?
According to North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000, Eliza A Carter died in 1866.
You are correct that 1842 is an incorrect date. I do not know why the specific date was provided, but it appears that I included it. I know I included the 1860s information, so I made a mistake by not revising the 1842 information. I looked on U.S. GenWEB sites and the family search site for the correct date, but found nothing. If you provide a copy of the printout, I will change the date.
I prepared the Profile, when I was trying to round out the White family history. Since there are direct descendants, and I was only an indirect descendant, I have avoided adding further information on this family. So, I will withdraw as Profile Manager, and allow direct descendant provide future information.
No worries, all good. I can't attach the image of the page to these comments, but if you click that Ancestry link it should take you to the North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000 for Elizabeth Taylor Starke page 202 Daughters of the American Revolution, Miss Bess Johnson 117655 at bottom of page is descendant of Eliza A. Carter (1805-66).
I'm not a descendant either. I'm doing this for my mother's 2nd husband, a Johnson. Just trying to help. :)
Carter-18884 and Carter-19653 appear to represent the same person because: Well, I've gone around in circles on this. Please compare and provide correct information. Thanks!
