Ha! I just happened to be checking my ancestor, Mary (Turner) Yale (Turner-143), and the site suggested for me to check her connection to you. It is through brother, sisters and a wife. Then I thought, just who is this person. Then I see you are spotlighted as a user of the week. I log on after a little while away and find a distant cousin. In your ancestor page, I see you share a few ancestors with my 5th Great Grandparents Sylvanus Whitney and Betty Hoyt (who also share ancestors with each other). The St. Johns, Bishops, Talmadges,Tinkers and Merwins to name a few. Did you know we share Tinker and Merwin ancestors with Jesse Merwin? Jesse was the model for Ichabod Crane. It is funny. My Mom has a lot of Dutch ancestors who are buried in Sleepy Hollow. One of the Katrina Van Tassels buried there would be some sort of cousin by multiple interwoven family's marriages. My ancestors have a complicated web with cross relationship to her and the Dutch from that time (and each other x)). The irony is, my Sister married the descendant of a Hessian Soldier that was in NY at the time. I should get him the Headless Horseman Mego doll.

Hi Alexandra,

I’ve not heard back from you so presume you don’t want to continue in the Canada Project at this time so have gone ahead and removed your badge. If that changes anytime you would be most welcome to re-join in the future.

Susie :-)

That's really great Alexandra, yes the Source-a-Thon is not only about sources, but also a really great way to make some new discoveries and find connections eeh :)

Greets from the Netherlands and keep up the wonderful work !
