Lieutenant Jabez Carter died (age 71) on 10 July 1771 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America.[3] Jabez is buried at the First Burial Ground, Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts. His gravestone is no longer extant, but the text has been preserved by Mr. William Cutter, "Here lyes Buried the Body of Lieut. Jabez Carter who departed this Life July the 10th 1771 Aged 71 Years. The Memory of ye Just is Blessed."[4][5]
