According to an entry dated 6 Oct 1834, Nathaniel only had three legal heirs at the time of his death: Nath. Carter, John Carter, and Francis Carter.[1]
Research Notes
Burial: On FamilySearch, there is a note that Nathaniel was buried in "Carter Cemetery, Fauquier, Virginia, Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika" but on his Find a Grave Memorial, it says "Burial Details Unknown." Can anyone confirm either way?
