Susannah Carter was born in 1728, in New Jersey, a daughter of Henry Carter, Jr. and Hannah Spencer. Susannah's father, Henry, wrote his Will on April 26, 1748, in Trenton, Hunterdon county, New Jersey. It was proved October 2, 1750. Susannah is named in his Will as "Susannah Chambers." [1]
Susannah Carter married John Chambers, III, on July 31, 1746, in Monmouth, New Jersey. [2] Susannah and John became the parents of as many as seven children. [3]
John Chambers, who was born in 1712, died December 4, 1778 and is buried in the First Presbyterian Church, in Trenton, Mercer county, New Jersey. Susannah (Carter) Chambers died in August, 1799 and is buried with her husband. [4]
