Note: Mr. Larry Donald Carter, 63, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center. The family received friends 1 to 2:30 p.m. on April 28, 2006, at Wilkinson Funeral Home and the funeral was at 2:30 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel where the Rev. Phil Bennett officiated. Mr. Carter attended First Assembly Worship Center in Concord. Mr. Carter was retired from Cannon Mills after working 39 years. After retirement he worked for NorthEast Medical Center for two years as a painter. Mr. Carter was born Oct. 12, 1942, in Cabarrus County to the late John Robert Carter and still living Mrs. Mary Adams Carter Overcash. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Mrs. Elaine Helms Carter; two daughters, Kathy Carter of Concord and Julie Tucker and husband, Geoff, of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Kayla, Lauren and Rob Tucker; and two sisters, Ann Billings and Brenda Ross, both of Kannapolis.
