Martha was born September 24, 1728, in Killingworth, CT. She was the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Carter. [1] She married Thomas Dean on October 23, 1753, in Cornwall, Connecticut. [2]
Their first son, Thomas, was born in 1754. Their other children were Reuben, Martha, Samuel, Ebenezer, Josiah, and Aaron. [3]
Martha is believed to have died in 1774 (Thomas remarried in 1776) and been buried in the Calhoun Cemetery, Litchfield, Connecticut. [4]
