Biography

Susanna (Carter) Prittie was born in Ireland.

Susanna Carter was born on about 25 October 1811 in Dublin, Ireland. She was the only daughter of William Carter and Elizabeth Brooke.

Her mother died in 1820.

She married Francis Sadlier Prittie (the son of Francis Aldborough Prittie) on 27 October 1846 at St. Werburgh, Dublin South, County Dublin, Ireland^[1].

MARRIED.

At St. Werburgh's church, Dublin by the Hon. and Rev. Francis Howard, Francis Sadlier Prittie. Esq., third son of the Hon. Francis Aldborough Prittie, and Chamberlain to his Excellency the Lord Lieutenant, to Susanna, only daughter of W. H. Carter, Esq., of Castle Martin, county Kildare.^[2]

They had two children during their marriage:

1. Elizabeth Susan (d. 13 Aug 1933)
2. Edward Prittie (b. Nov 1851, d. 15 Mar 1882)

Susanna died on 13 June 1856 in Clonmel, County Tipperary, at the age of 44.

She was probably buried at Marlfield Church Graveyard, Marlfield, County Tipperary, Ireland^[4].
