There may have been more than one Dale Carter back in the day, however, I've only ran into one. I don't have my research, it was left back in the States. But here is the story of Dale. It may help.

Dale Carter moved to Kentucky with Danial Boone. His home was on the out side of the Fort. When the Indians came, the people in the fort could not get there in time to save the family. One young daughter was alive. Her stomach had been laid open. They placed in the creek, but she also died. I never was sure what family these Carters came from. John or Thomas Carter. Then there was one more John Carter that spent time in Jail in Jamestown. May have been a cousin and this could be his line.

Dale is 15 degrees from Virginia Fields, 19 degrees from William Mayo and 10 degrees from Henry VIII of England on our single family tree. Login to find your connection.
