Know all men by these presents, that we Isaac Carter & Elijah Redmond arfe held and firmly Bound unto James Barbour Esq. Governor of Virginia in the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to which payment we and truly to be made, to the said Governor of his successors, we bind ourselves our and each of our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severelly firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 29 Day of October 1814.

The Condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas the is a Marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Isaac Carter & Sally Redmond now if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage, then the above Obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full fo and virture.
