'"Little is known about Geneviève Cartier beyond her birth, marriage and death. She was born 14 August 1810, the daughter of Louis Cartier and Marie Dorothee Ritchot. Geneviève Cartier married Michel Houle dit Petrain on 24 February 1829 at St. Michael d'Yamaska, Québec. They had seven children. Geneviève died about six months after the birth of her last child on 6 June 1847 at St-Aimé-de-Richelieu, Québec and she was buried in the St-Aimé Cemetery." [1]
