Florrie Cartlidge was born in Cheshire, England.

Florence was born in Astbury, Cheshire, England, in 1892.^[1] Her birth was registered in the third quarter in Congleton. She was the daughter of Clement Cartlidge and Ann Phillips. She was baptized on September 18, 1892, in Astbury.^[2] She was enumerated in the 1901 census ^[3] as an eight year old residing with her family in Bradwall, Cheshire. (Note...there is also a Cheshire School record dated January 7, 1901, ^[4] listing her as a student of the Elworth National School Middlewich Road, Cheshire). In 1911, ^[5] she was listed as an eighteen year old, single, "General Servant", in the household of John Thomas and Harriet Hodgson in Bradwall.

No definitive record for Florrie found post 1911.
