Annie was born in Astbury, Cheshire, England, on May 22, 1860.[1] She was the daughter of Samuel Cartlidge and Sarah Ann Shufflebotham. She was baptized on July 1, 1860, in Astbury, at St Mary.[2] She was enumerated in the 1871 census [3] as a ten year old residing with her parents and three siblings in Astbury. In 1881, [4] as one of four children residing with her parents in Asbury. She stated she was twenty, single, and a "Housemaid".
No definitive record for Annie found post 1881. (Family records indicate she passed away on May 19, 1913, location unknown)
