Biography

Frank Cartwright was born in Chorlton, Lancashire, England.

Frank Williams was born on 31st December 1896 at 14 New Lorne Street, Moss Side, Lancashire, England. He was the son of William Cartwright and Grace Williams. The birth was registered in the first quarter of 1987 in Chorlton Lancashire, England.^[1][2]

In the 1901 census Frank (age 4) was the single son of William Cartwright in 14 New Lorne Street, Moss Side in Manchester, Lancashire, England.^[3]

In the 1911 census Frank (age 14) was the son of William Cartwright in 14 New Lorne Street, Moss Side in Manchester, Lancashire, England.^[4]

Frank served as a private in the Machine Gun Corps with the Lancashire Fusiliers.^[5]

He married Mary Butler on 21st July 1923 in Manchester. Mary died the following year from pregnancy comlications.^[6][7]

He married Ida Primrose Palmer in 1930 in Manchester South, Lancashire, England ^[8]

In the 1939 register Frank, Transport Inspector, was the married head of household at 158 Russell St., Manchester, Lancashire, England.^[9]
