Dora Alma Phillips, 91, died at Penn Lutheran Village at 9:37 p.m. Friday, June 21, 1996. She had been a resident there since July 1, 1985.
She was born at Richfield RR1 October 15, 1904, the daughter of the late William C. and Sarah E. [Swartz] Carvell. In 1932 she married Milton C. Phillips, who preceded her in death.
She attended Swartz School, Richfield, and was a housewife. She was a member of Richfield United Methodist Church and the Queen Esther Sunday School Class of the church.
She is survived by one daughter, Verna Phillips Fultz Bailor, Selinsgrove; two grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Minnie E. Carvell, Richfield RR1; and one brother, Ray J. Carvell, Richfield RR1.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clair, Palmer and John, and two sisters, Mary Carvell and Mae Fisher.
The funeral service was conducted Tuesday at Richfield United Methodist Church, with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Almon D. Baird, officiating. Interment followed at Goodwill Cemetery, McAlisterville RR2.
Funeral arrangements were made by the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills.
